At Valley Tin Works, we control every stage of our production process from raw steel to hand-painted installed ceiling. This level of involvement with our work gives us an expertise unmatched in the world and allows us to assure quality worksmanship in everything we do.
Valley Tin Works was the first tin ceiling company to offer handpainted finishes, and we have spent years fine-tuning our painting technique to provide a durable product in color choices that will never go out of style. Unlike powder-coated finishes, our paint will never crack, scratch or chip under normal wear. Of course, due to variances in monitor color, screen representations of our colors will not be exactly accurate. We recommend odering a set of sample swatches from our online store. Sample sets are $15 for 7 swatches or $22 for 12, and this cost will be deducted from any installation or metal order you place later with us.
We carry over 30 standard patterns for use in everything from tin ceilings to art pieces to backsplashes. Some of these we have pressed ourselves, and others we buy from a few high-quality manufacturers. All of our patterns are shown on our patterns page. All of the patterns we carry are 24" x 48" sheets of 20-gauge or better steel for near-seamless professional installation. We also carry all the tools and supplies required for installation on our online store.
Our Ceiling Planner is a useful online tool for visualizing the possibilities of a tin ceiling. You can enter the dimensions of your ceiling, select the patterns and color you are considering, and see a drawing to scale showing how those patterns would look on your ceiling. (Note: at this point, the ceiling planner only works for rectangular ceilings 24'x24' and smaller. Future updates will include support for irregular-shaped ceilings and larger spaces.)
