Chris Plummer, Owner and Artist

Christopher Lee Plummer has blended his fine arts background and construction skills to create a one-of-a-kind business installing hand-painted tin ceilings, a career that had its start fifteen years ago. While attending Boston's Museum School and working as a faux finish painter, Chris was called on to paint a local physician's office. This Victorian era structure maintained its original tin ceiling, a feature Chris was enamored with. Upon completion of the job, Chris asked the doctor if he could paint the ceiling as well, but he said no.

Inspired by the tin ceiling, Chris found some scrap pieces of old tin and began using this medium as the canvas for his art. Weeks later he returned to the doctor's office with samples of painted tin so impressive that the doctor agreed to let Chris paint the ceiling. And, in that moment, Chris reinvented the tin ceiling.

Since that time, Chris has fine-tuned his talent, developing classic paint finishes that make tin ceilings fitting for any period home. His passion for creating works of art that incorporate this unique medium have not been limited ceilings. A customized collection of framed wall hangings, mirrors and furnishings have evolved.

Chris thrives on the challenge of developing new ideas. He is never at a loss where innovation is concerned and has the persistence to see his vision through. He continues to pursue a career in fine arts, evolve as a painter and exhibit his work in one man shows.
